Phyllis G Berger

She is survived by her Daughters, Vickie D. Berger, Rose A. Berger and Gloria E. Berger; son, Franklin “Scott” Berger (Juliet); granddaughter, Jasmine Berger; sister, Ila Hartley, and brother, Rev. Wilmont McCrary(Pattie).

Phyllis was married to the love of her life, Franklin D.R. Berger for 67 years before his passing in 2021. Phyllis is preceded in death by brother; John T. McCrary; sister-in-law, Bobbie McCrary; brother-in-law, Cecil Hartley; and nephew, Dean Hartley.

Phyllis traveled with her Husband all over the U.S.A during his 20 years of service with the Unites States Air Force. After Franklin’s retirement, they moved to Tallahassee, where she continued taking care of their family. Phyllis had a genuine servant’s heart and an endless capacity for love. This was evident in the many children she nurtured, fostered, and inspired within her community, all of whom she lovingly regarded as her own grandchildren.

She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A public visitation for Phyllis will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 from 12:00PM to 1:00PM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312. A graveside service will take place outside in the cemetery following the visitation at 1:00PM.
