Vicki & Bille Wayne.  Peace be with you and your family during this time of sorrow.  Please know that anyone that knew Aunt Sissy will have a void in their life from her passing.  I for one, will miss our phone conversations on a regular basis.  I loved my Aunt Sissy very much and she knew it.  I will always cherish the time spent with her throughout my lifetime and have many sweet memories.

Dear Vicki and Wayne, 
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. How happy we are that we came to visit Sissy when we did. We will cherish the memories of those visits forever. Your Mom was INDEED a wonderful person and we are so proud to have been related to her. We will miss her, but cherish the memories, and happy to know that she is resting in peace now.  How can I find the words to describe the woman that was the heart of our family?
 I still cannot wrap my brain, or heart, around the fact that she's gone.
Most summers were spent at the house with she and Granddaddy.
 I'm going to miss our goof off days and tea parties. 
I'll never forget how she taught me to cook. 
The family recipe box is in the kitchen right now.
 I miss you Sissy. Give Grandaddy a big hug and kiss for me and save all of us a spot in the choir!

My mother could not have had a better friend.  She and Sissy were more like sisters than best friends.  Because of their 65+ year friendship, I had a special bond with Sissy too.

Growing up I always loved visiting your parents' home.  I never left without a little box of Froot Loops cereal.  I think of Bill & Sissy everytime I see those single serving boxes.  In fact, I have several reminders of them.  One of my favorites is my coo coo clock.  Everytime I hear that bird, I think of Sissy.  Such happy memories.  Did you know that she served the cake at our wedding?  What a sweet friend!

My happiest memory was made last weekend when Mom and I surprised Sissy with a visit.  It was truly a God thing that we showed up that Saturday afternoon.  I'm so glad that Mom & Sissy were able to visit one last time.  Being able to give her a hug and kiss is something I will treasure forever.

Thank you for sharing your mama with our family.  We love all of you!!!

Grandmother Sissy was the nicest kindest person I have ever known. I always wished I could be like her. She never had a bad word to say about anyone! It is so hard to put in to words what she meant to me. I know why my Mother is as nice as she is. It is because of the wonderful parents she had. I will miss you so much Sissy! I love you!

Dear Vicki and Wayne and both of your Families,
Cecilia wrote such loving memories of our Aunt Sissy.  And Cecilia is correct that "Only God knows how much I loved Sissy."  Though I wasn't in touch with Aunt Sissy as much as some other cousins, I always loved her too.  Whenever I thought of Aunt Sissy, I always had a smile.  You just can't "not smile" when you think of her.  She was so kind, unassuming, generous and loving.  I always admired her and Uncle Billie's love and respect for each other.  It showed.  Please remember the good times that you had with your Mama.  And know that she is still alive in you both, everytime you smile, everytime you do a good thing for someone else and everytime you love. Dear Vicki and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know what you are going through. Only God  knows how much I loved Sissy. She has always been in my life and always been there for me no matter what. I wish I could count how many time I have talk to her on the phone over the years. Who could ask for a better second Mother. Sissy was the best roll model ever. I know she is happy today  for she is with the love of her life. God knows she was ready to go home.
