She was the only child of William E. and Johnnie M. Carberry. She was an Air Force brat, having moved around quite a bit due to her Dad’s service in the United States Air Force. Growing up she lived in Bloomington, Indiana and Tampa, Florida before her Dad was finally stationed at Homestead Air Force Base in Homestead, Florida. She spent her high school years attending South Dade High School in Homestead, Florida before graduating in 1960. Mary was a loving wife and mother of 3 children who were the light of her life.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Kelly Tyre (his wife, Melinda), Corey Tyre (his wife, Dana); and her loving husband of 57 years who took care of her faithfully during her brief illness, Colen Tyre. Mary had 4 grandchildren, Keri Tyre, Kristi Tyre, Carson Tyre and Caleb Tyre; and 2 great grandchildren, Summer and Gracie.
She is preceded in death by her Dad whom she idolized, William E. Carberry; her mother, Johnnie Mae Carberry; her daughter, Lisa Ann Tyre; and her granddaughter, Keri Tyre.
Mary was an avid dog lover having taken care of and rescued many of her furry family members throughout her life. Mary was a Christian, which provided great comfort to her and her family during her illness.
A funeral service will be held Friday, May 27, 2022 at 10am at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312 with burial to follow at MeadowWood Memorial Park.
