A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, Florida, with a catered reception to follow.
Mark, the son of Ralph Allen and Margie Creel, was born October 9, 1943, in Albany, New York. Mark was preceded in death by his father Ralph Allen, mother Margie Creel, his daughter, Elizabeth Brinkley, and brother, Mike Allen.
Mark is survived by his wife, Barbara Allen, son Carlton Allen, daughter in-law, Candace Allen, brother in-law Chip Eddy, sister’s in-law: Debbie Davis, Fran Gumpher, and Vicky Eddy, mother in-law Phylis Eddy, granddaughters, Carly Allen and Sarah Brinkley, grandson, Carson Allen, great grandson Ryland Collins, and many nieces and nephews.

When a flashlight grows dim or quits working, do you just throw it away? Of course not. You change the batteries. When a person messes up or finds themselves in a dark place, do you cast them aside? Of course not! You help them change their batteries. Some need AA… attention, some need AAA… attention and affection, and acceptance; some need C… compassion; some need D… direction. And if they still don’t seem to shine… simply sit with them quietly and share your light.
