Survived by 1 sister, Thelma Myers, daughters Sharon and her spouse Bill Alsup of Columbia,Tennessee and Judy Henderson of Tallahassee, Florida, 6 Grandchildren, Shannin (Nikohl) Alsup; Matthew (Mechilli) Alsup; Jeremy Alsup; Shannon Marie (Matt) Smith; Louisa (Chris) Williams and Jordan (Lauren) Marlowe. 9 Great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Louise met her future husband, Wallace, in a high school biology class. They married in 1942 in Pensacola, FL and after several moves made their way to Tallahassee, FL in 1948. During their 71 years in Tallahassee they lived in only two homes.
A life-long member of the Church of Christ she enjoyed many causes and hobbies. She was a true Dorcas providing clothing to school children and adults alike. She used her many talents to help others. After moving to Tallahassee she remained a stay at home Mom and even though she didn't have a paying job, she used her sewing talents to earn her own money to buy gifts for Dad.
Louise loved flowers and grew orchids, entering them in shows and winning ribbons. She was a Brownie Scout and Girl Scout leader teaching young girls special skills. A Bible schoolteacher of children and adult women's classes, she truly loved teaching God's word to all ages.
To know Louise was to love her and she loved you right back. Rest well, Mother, out of pain and with the ones you love the best...Jesus and Wallace.
