John had a passion for playing the guitar, writing songs and giving guitar lessons to children and adults. He was an accomplished musician from a young age. John enjoyed collecting unique antiques and old classic cars to restore. He was very knowledgeable about the World War II era and one of his hobbies was building model airplanes and ships from the war. John also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
John’s family of cats and kittens meant the world to him. He loved them dearly and cared for any that came along.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob Fields and Dolores Hornbrook; niece, Sarah Fields; and nephew, Kenny Lee.
John is survived by his sister, Jeanine Raitt (Dennis); stepsister, Danni Fields; brothers, James Fields (Mary), Jay Fields (Carolyn) and Joe Burke (Rita); nieces, Jenni, Summer, Regina, Christina, Jazmine and Ashley; nephews, Nicholas, Christopher, Jonathon, Joey and Slade; as well as a many friends and relatives.
Funeral services livestream will begin at 1pm on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the link below with Pastor Jack London officiating. Interment will follow at MeadowWood Memorial Park.
