Frank graduated from Mount Saint Michael, then attended Fordham University. After graduating from Fordham, he enlisted in the Navy where he served aboard the USS Coral Sea. After his time in the Navy, Frank married Geraldine Maher. The honeymoon took the lovebirds slowly down the East Coast to finally settle in Tallahassee. Frank attended FSU School of Business, earning a degree in Marketing which led to a career beginning with Proctor and Gamble, then WCTV Channel Six in Tallahassee where he became Vice President/General Manager. He also served on the Board of Directors with the National Association of Broadcasters, after which he became President of the Florida Association of Broadcasters.
Frank enjoyed spending time at the family beach house on St. George Island with family and friends. He also loved to read the Tallahassee Democrat, New York Times, and mystery novels. Among his other interests were the New York Yankees, Boston Celtics and Florida State University Football.
Although he left New York, Frank never lost his Bronx accent. His strong Irish heritage enabled a sharp sense of humor and a quick wit.
Frank was predeceased by his daughter Bonnie Jean Flynn and is survived by his wife of 67 years Geri, his sons Frank Flynn (Paige), Pat Flynn (Grace), and Mike Flynn, along with grandchildren Stephanie Jackson (MJ), Scott Flynn, Jacob Flynn, Hannah Flynn, and Peyton Flynn, and great granddaughter Kendall Graham.
