Frances Proctor Roesch, 86, a proud and loving member of a family that has been an integral part of Tallahassee's history since the turn of the 19th century passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on August 15, 2012 at her home.
She was born on August 18, 1925, to Rosa Yawn and W. Theo Proctor, Sr. She graduated from Leon High School where she was a member of the Springtime May Court. She then attended Florida State College for Women /Florida State University where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 1949. After graduating Frances was well regarded as a Business Woman and Banker. Over the years Frances enjoyed her involvement and friendships made through the Babies Breath Garden Circle, Tallahassee Cotillion Club, Town Club of Tallahassee, Colonels Club of Tallahassee and Trinity United Methodist Church.
Frances was preceded in death by her father, W. Theo Proctor Sr; her mother, Rosa Yawn Procto; a son, Theodore Proctor Hines; and an infant daughter.
She is survived by husband of 54 years Karl L. Roesch, Jr.; son, Thomas Michael Hines; brother, W. Theo (Martha Anne) Proctor, Jr.; nephew, W. Theo (Velma) Proctor, III; and two great nieces, Meagan and Emily Proctor.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 18, 10:00 am, at Culley's Riggins Road Chapel with interment immediately following at Oakland cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Big Bend Hospice, F.S.U. Foundation, or a charity of your choice .
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home in Tallahassee, Florida.
