She was born on August 25, 1927 to Oscar E. Tippett, Sr. and Ethel (Workman) Tippett in Pekin, Illinois.
She was a very active in her church and at the Tallahassee Senior Center where she was a volunteer for over 15 years. She enjoyed playing games and visiting with people, she never met a stranger.
She was predeceased by her parents; husbands, Richard Beck and Percy Alguire; daughter, Gloria Beck and 7 brother and 5 sisters. She is survived by her sons, Carl Beck, Roger (Ruth) Beck; her daughter, Ruth (David) Ficklen all of Tallahassee; grandsons, Timothy (Kristina) Beck, Christopher Beck, granddaughter, Tiffany Beck; great granddaughters, Angelica Tejada, Kinzley Beck and great grandson, Elliott Tejada; brothers, Robert (Martha) Tippett, Paul (Patsy) Tippett; sisters, Beverly Savage, Eileen (Jim) Hall and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Friday, July 14, 2017, at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 15, 2017, also at Culley’s Timberlane Road location.
