Dorothy Earls peacefully passed away March 24, 2012, surrounded with love from her family, in Tallahassee, Florida.
Dorothy had been residing in Florida with her son, Michael Bryan Earls and daughter-in-law, Lynda. Besides Michael and Lynda, Dorothy is survived by her other son, Mark Earls of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her grandson, Kevin Earls and his wife, Stevie; and their daughter, Kenley, of Birmingham, Alabama. Dorothy is also survived by two sisters, Kathleen Brouillette of Arlington, Texas, and Mary Ann Morgan of San Marcos, California.
Born January 23, 1931 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Dorothy lived in Del City, Oklahoma, where along with her husband, Bryan she raised her family, worshiped, worked, and gave to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Dorothy retired from City Service Gas Company, but continued to work as a volunteer at her church, Meals on Wheels, the Civic Center and for other causes she believed in. Dorothy is and will always be known for her love of family, her Catholic faith, and her great love of life. Always the optimist, Dorothy was sincere in how she lived her life by her faith; she always saw the good in everyone; and she was always ready for a new adventure. She truly loved her life. Her family and friends will have years of joy as they recall many of her fun adventures and her experiences in life just as she would have wanted us to.
A memorial mass to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be conducted Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at 10:00 am at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Del City.
