Daniel Scott Harris, 55, of Tallahassee passed peacefully away on December 16,2018 at his home. He was born February 27, 1963 in Miami to Robert S. Harris and Sondra F. Smith. He attended Palmetto Sr. High School. After Graduation, he enlisted in the US Army and was honorably discharged.
After High School he met the love of his life, Brittany Harris nee Schmidt on trip to Tallahassee in 1981, they were married February 23, 1985. Together they lived a life of happiness and adventure, traveling around the world on cruises. They also loved the open road, one of the most memorial trips was driving Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles. One of his many adventures took him to Africa with his sister for an African Safari.
Dan was known as a true survivor. He never allowed his physical limitations or health get him down .He always had a smile and sense of humor. He was always up to some kind of mischief. He embraced every moment he had with his family and friends and lived his life to the fullest.
He also loved sports, he and Brittany traveled to many NASCAR events. His enthusiasm for The Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes was unmatched.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Brittany; his father and step mother Robert and Margie Harris; his faithful dog, Honey Doo; his siblings, John Harris, Debbie Harris, Tammie Crongeyer and Michael Kobilansky. He is also survived by his aunt, Mary Fleming; 2 brothers-in-laws and 4 sisters-in-law, 5 nephews and 2 great – nieces.
To honor Dans life, his family and closest friends came from near and far and celebrated with him in his final days. Moments that will forever be cherished thus, no formal services will be held. His wish is for his remains to be cast as an artificial reef and placed off the coast of Florida.
