Cory celebrated his 28th birthday while fighting Covid-19 at Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center in Panama City and gave up that fight on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at 4:20AM. Cory lived in Panama City, where he worked as a Supervisor with Knighted Gaming. Cory described his job as being similar to the Banker in Monopoly.
Anyone that knew Cory quickly realized how much he loved music, and played the guitar, Banjo and Mandolin. Cory also loved fine cuisine, playing online games with friends, computers, robotics and of course anything electronic, microelectronic, automated, or automatic!
Cory was not afraid of adventure! He enjoyed his travels to Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, New Jersey, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Washington, and Wyoming! Cory valued time spent as a Corp Member with AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps Class 20 Northern Region. He also attended Tallahassee Community College where he earned his AA degree in Computer science.
Cory is survived by his parents, Jean and David Jackson; girlfriend, Stella Waldron; paternal grandmother, Carol Elizabeth Caruth (Mark); uncle, Scott Alguire (Charlotte); aunt, Marie Alguire; uncle, Ronald Wayne Jackson, Jr. (Kim); uncle, Stephan Zimmer (Eva); aunt, Rhonda Eldridge (Jeff); aunt, Michelle McKinney (Michael); uncle, John Scott Rich; first cousins: Michael Alguire (Kendell), Jessie Alguire, Jamie Cannon (Chris), Kimberly Alguire, Alvin Alguire, Morgan Brown (Trent), Brandon Eldridge (Jessy), Robbie Eldridge, Kelsi Eldridge, Josh Jackson, Lace Jackson, Kayla Waters, Casey and Katy McKinney, Emilee Sayre, Benjamin Zimmer; many great-aunts, great uncles and many more cousins.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Richard Allen Alguire Sr. & Sharon Alguire; paternal grandfather, Ronald Wayne Jackson, Sr.; uncle, Richard Allen Alguire Jr.; and baby brother, Richard Wayne Jackson.
