Claudia Mead Brazzell

Claudia was born November 7, 1944, in Jacksonville, FL. Claudia was the oldest daughter of Daniel Claude Mead and Docia Mae Mead. She leaves behind her husband of 49 years, Jimmy Brazzell. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Glenn and Kevin Brazzell; two daughters, Kim Burris and husband Dale Burris, Jessica Brazzell; Granddaughters, Chelsea and Holli Brazzell; Brothers Kiah S. Mead and wife Yung, and Christopher Mead; Sister, Donna Canonico.

Claudia enjoyed vacationing on cruise ships as well as any type of travel that involved her family. Claudia moved to Tallahassee in 1974. She was employed by the state of Florida for 33 years, devoting the last 11 years to the Department of Juvenile Justice, where she rose to the position of the director of Finance and Accounting. Claudia was a loving, caring, and devoted wife and mother. She had many close and loving friends that she cherished. Her loving smile and vibrant personality will be missed by all. Claudia was a longtime member of Seminole Baptist Church where she taught children's Sunday School.

The viewing will be at Seminole Baptist Church Thursday August 5th from 6 to 8 p.m. EDT, with the funeral services Friday August 6, at 2 p.m. EDT, at Seminole Baptist Church.
