Claude M. Hinson of Marianna, Florida passed away June 5, 2016. He was the son of the late Rudolph and Earline McCroan Hinson, Jr. He was born in Marianna, Florida and was a graduate of Marianna High, Chipola Jr. College, and the University of West Florida in 1970 with a B.S. Degree in Systems Science. He also attended the University of Florida and Florida State University.
His career was diverse; State of Florida (thirteen years) civil engineering with Florida DOT, systems research with Florida DMS, systems marketing with Xerox Corporation for eighteen years in Tallahassee and Tampa. He achieved President's Club with Xerox for exceptional technical sales performance.
Claude was experienced, as an airplane pilot, scuba diver, alpine skier, white water kayaker/rafter, indoor sky diver, catamaran sailor, fisherman, hunter, traveler, and model railroader from Lionel trains to large live steam outdoor models. He loved sharing his hobbies with his family and friends. He loved and played music.
Survivors include his daughter, Kelli Dianne Moser (Aaron) and his son, Richard Brian Hinson of Tallahassee; brothers Robert E. Hinson (Beverly) of Marianna and Rudolph "Rudy" M. Hinson, III (Ella) of Tallahassee; a niece, three nephews, and two great-nephews.
Visitation will be held at Culley's Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 12:30pm est. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:30pm est. Interment will be at the First Methodist Church Cemetery in Cottondale, Florida at 5:00pm est. (4:00pm cst.).
