Charlotte Louise “Lou” Pichard Causseaux, 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 4th at her home.
She was born in Tallahassee, October 30, 1918. Lou graduated from Leon High School and attended Florida Southern College and Florida State College for Women. She retired as Department Secretary from the Department of Anthropology at Florida State University. She was an award winning Jam and Jelly maker, and her sour cream pound cakes were outstanding. She made the best Penuche and Divinity and was a crackerjack Bridge player. Lou was a former member of East Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Jan Causseaux and Joy Lynn Causseaux Frank (husband, James); two sisters, Mary Pichard Sellers and Betty Pichard Barnett; and two grandsons, Donald Bruce Bishop Jr. and John Armin Frank; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hans Causseaux; her parents, Claude A Pichard Sr. and Mary Cureton Pichard; her sister, Nellie Elizabeth Pichard DeMilly; and her brother, Claude Arthur Pichard Jr.
A memorial service will be held 4:30 PM Saturday, November 10, 2012 in Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road. Family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Joy C. Frank, 437 Frank Shaw Road, Tallahassee, 32312.
