Charles C. Green Sr.

Charles was born on January 23, 1938 to Robert and Persephone Laird Green in Crawfordville, Florida. After graduating from Crawfordville High School, he worked for many years as a skilled carpenter for Melco Wood Fixtures Company and later as a Maintenance Supervisor for Immanuel Baptist Church, where he was an active and long-time member. In retirement, he was a happy and beloved greeter at Publix in Tallahassee.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Patricia Green. He is survived by a sister, Beulah Andrew from Crawfordville, a son, Chuck Green from Orange Park, and daughter Brenda Green Buck (husband Glen) from Celina, TX. He also was survived by his 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, Casey Green, Mike Green, Claire Godfrey (husband Zachary) from Orange Park, Sarah Grace Lang (husband Charlie) from Littleton, CO, Jordan Long (wife Riley), Brandon Long, Connor Long from Frisco, TX, and sweet great-grandchild, Owen Godfrey from Orange Park.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 29 from 10a.m. to 11a.m. at Culley’s MeadowWood Memorial Park, followed by a graveside service for family.
