Bertis "Bert" Lloyd Baker

Bert Baker, 63 of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on August 28, 2022 in Tallahassee Florida. He was born in Lakeland, Florida on October 5, 1958 to Reverend and Mrs. Jesse Baker. Bert graduated from Godby High School in 1976 in Tallahassee, Florida and went on to trade school to become an electrician. He worked for Southern Atlantic Electric in Jacksonville, Florida for last 20 years.

Bert married Linda Harris Baker in 1986. They were married for 36 years during which time they were faithful followers of Jesus Christ. He was a member of the Kairos Prison Ministry and had a passion for the Florida State Seminoles. He was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ and loved sharing the word of God in the prison ministry. Bert also had an amazing forgiveness testimony which he shared all over Florida and changed the lives of thousands bringing them to Jesus Christ.

Bert was predeceased by his parents Jesse and Fay Baker and sister Vera Baker. He is survived by his wife Linda Baker in Jacksonville Florida, Son and Daughter-in-law Nicholas and Nicole Baker in Raleigh North Carolina; daughter Michele Bonjour in Daytona Beach, Florida, , Grandchildren Amelia Bonjour in Tallahassee Florida, Jacob Bonjour in Norfolk, Virginia and Olivia Bonjour in Daytona Beach, Florida. He is also survived by his brother and wife Kenneth and Tina Baker, Niece Kenna Baker, Nephew Kenny Baker all in Deltona, Florida.

A celebration of Bert’s life will be held on September 17, 2022, 11:00 am at Creekside Christian Church, 92 Lifespring Way, St. Johns, Florida 32259.
