An honorably discharged Navy pharmacist mate, he joins his beloved wife of more than 60 years, Leah and his closest friends and relatives.
Survived by daughters Elyse Pushor (and spouse Sean Pushor) and Deborah Carroll (and spouse Patrick Carroll), granddaughter Chelsea Martinis Glisson and great grandson Maverick Glisson and his devoted pets Peanut and Cooper.
Born in New York City, New York, Ben worked in the hosiery industry with E.J. Korvette Department Store, Holly Stores and Kayser-Roth Hosiery (starting in 1966). He started in sales and worked into management positions in new product development and lastly as Director of Kayser-Roth real estate assets as a Division of Gulf and Western.
He earned recognition for his work fighting bigotry with the women’s apparel division of the Anti-Defamation League Appeal in New York City and in his work with the ARC on Long Island, New York.
But his greatest pride in retirement was supporting his wife’s career as an artist traveling with her to her exhibitions.
The funeral service will be for family only.
