Armando H. Azpeitia II, “Mondi,” transitioned onto his afterlife on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. His mother Aida Azpeitia, father Armando Azpeitia, and brother Albert Azpeitia, waited to greet him on the other side.
His powerful spirit can still be felt and will be with us always. He touched more lives than can be measured, and will continue to provide unconditional love and support to all those he knew and cared for from beyond the veil. He created a loving family and devoted his career to helping the visually impaired, working for the Division of Blind Services in Florida, and in similar settings in Los Angeles, CA, Portland, OR, and Atlanta, GA, across his lifetime. He lived una vida llena de vida, “a life full of life,” traveled the world, enjoyed the simple pleasures, lived in the moment, and made all of us laugh, smile, and feel special for being who we are.
He is survived by his soulmate, wife, best friend, and life partner, Christine B. Azpeitia, his daughters Mia Azpeitia and Sindri Azpeitia, his son, Zachary Azpeitia, his grandchildren, Gracie Azpeitia, Asher Azpeitia, Aila McEwen, and Kaia McEwen, his niece Jessica Azpeitia Nhan, his cousins Kenny Azpeitia, Robert Azpeitia, JoAnne Portugues in Tampa, FL, and the Burns family in the Pacific North West, a place which Armando dearly loved.
Services will be held privately with the family in Michigan at a later date.
An online memorial and celebration of his life will be created for everyone to add to and enjoy.
The world is a better place for having had you in it these past 77 beautiful years Mondi, as always, we love you and thank you for being who you are.
