Alexander Milan Grant was born on January 8, 1998, in Tallahassee, Florida to his beloved mother, Tenisha Rigby. As a devoted and loving son, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, Alexander brought joy to all who were blessed to share his life. Through his intelligence, confidence, broad smile, and fantastic wit, he had the ability to easily engage and forge meaningful friendships with numerous people. As an aspiring artist, accomplished pianist, charismatic social media influencer Alexander brightened the day of everyone he contacted.
Alexander graduated from Lincoln High School and attended the University of South Florida where he majored in Global Business. Alexander had a special affinity for languages and spoke fluent Mandarin Chinese, however he also taught himself a multitude of different languages such as Japanese and Korean. He served as an aspiring social media influencer working with companies like Kraft Nissan as their Social Media Administrator and Photographer. More importantly Alexander inspired all he came in to contact with to be the best versions of themselves. He participated as a member of Youth Leadership Tallahassee, Class 11, were he was chosen to represent them on a committee of politicians, business owners, and chamber of commerce members for quarterly discussions on recruitment, selection, and curriculum for Youth Leadership Tallahassee. More recently, he created “Here in Spirit”, his solely owned and operated social media business. Alexander was an active member of Emerge Church, Tallahassee, Florida.
Alexander is lovingly remembered by his devoted mother, Tenisha Rigby (Tallahassee); father, Walter (Tampa); Grant grandparents, Ronald and Rose Rigby (Tallahassee); grandfather, Ernest Adam (Tampa); great-grandmother, Mary Coleman (Tallahassee) who was preceded in death by Alexander’s beloved great-grandfather, Charles Coleman “Granddaddy”; preceded in death his great-grand parents Darius and Daisy Rigby; aunt, Itasha Rigby (Tallahassee); dearest cousin/brother, Shakim Carr (Tallahassee); great-uncle and great-aunt, Charles and Cathy Coleman (Bradenton); great-uncle and great-aunt, Robert and Sonya Little (Tampa); great-aunt Rutha Lumpkin who was preceded in death by great-uncle Robert Lumpkin; great-uncle and great-aunt Sol and Wanda Holiday; great-uncle and great-aunt Frank and Argatha Gilmore; great-uncle and great-aunt Floyd and Janci Rigby; great-uncle William Rigby; great-uncle Ardra Rigby, Great-great uncle, Travis Coleman (Toledo); aunt, Nikki Williams (Tampa); aunt, Latoya Waymon (Tampa); uncle, Elliot Davis (Tampa); uncle, Mark Grant (Tampa); cousins, Ryan and Maeghann Swanson (New York); cousins, Isaiah Little and Jordan Little (Tampa); and a host of extended family and close friends in Crystal River, Tampa, Miami, Toledo, New York and several other cities across the U.S. and abroad.
Alexander is dearly loved and his memory will carry on in our hearts forever.

There will be a memorial on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Culley’s Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee FL. Due to the current CDC restrictions only Family will be in attendance.
