Alan was an excellent attorney who retired after 26 years of practicing law. He enjoyed his retirement including his time spent with the Porsche Club and his work on the board of directors of the Southern Scholarship Foundation. His most enjoyable times were spent with life-long friends at any FSU sport: football, baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, volleyball. He also loved music, particularly enjoying a yearly trip to the bluegrass festival Merlefest. He had a special love also for his time spent in Hawaii. He enjoyed surfing and scuba diving as well as all aspects of the Aloha spirit. He graduated from Florida HIgh School in 1961 and attended FSU where he finished law school. He was chief counsel for Sprint for much of his career.
Alan was a Vietnam Veteran, a captain in the US Army and was honored with a purple heart and the bronze star. Alan was very proud of his military service and was very patriotic. His death was due to numerous health issues caused by exposure to Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam. He was a great brother, uncle, and friend to many. He will be truly missed by all.
