Wilma Ruth Farmer-Vaughn was born at home to Louis Elmer Farmer and Ruffie Doak (McMillen) Farmer, on November 14th, 1927, at a place called Victory in Hulbert, OK. Wilma was a Baptist by faith and gave her heart to Jesus at the age of 13 years. She went home to be with Jesus on May 25th, 2021, at her home in Hulbert ,with her loved ones by her side at the age of 93 years. Wilma met her husband, Alvin Vaughn at a dance and they were married on October 15th, 1946. They went on have 10 children, 32 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, and 38 great great grandchildren. Wilma was a homemaker and mother with many talents from sewing, quilting, baking, gardening, cooking, and canning for her large family. She wasn’t afraid of hard work. She had a green thumb for raising flowers. During her earlier years, she worked on the family farm doing what was necessary to help her family.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alvin, Daughter Brenda, and grandsons John Wayne Vaughn, and Stuart Duck. She also leaves her sisters, Dortha James, Tressie White, Idell Smith, Verba Farmer, and two brothers, Ishmael Farmer and Loyal Farmer. Also preceded, Sons-in law Marvin Shelly and David Soban, and daughters-in-law, Sue Shirley, and Julia Vaughn.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Wayne and Sandy Vaughn of Porter, OK, Gail and Archie Patterson of Wagoner, OK, Darlene and Jimmy Whitekiller of Hulbert, OK, Dewey Vaughn of Tahlequah, OK, Susan and Bill McNatt of Keota, OK, Patsy and Delbert Duck of Hulbert, Ok, Robbie and Jeff Sparks of Hulbert, OK, Tammy and Jay Cook of Tahlequah, OK, Coy and Tracie Vaughn of Hulbert, OK. She also leaves grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren. Her brother-in law Jimmy Kirkpatrick and wife Cindy. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Visitation/Viewing Thursday, May 27th from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
Services will be held at Reed- Culver Chapel on Friday, May 28th at 2:00 PM.
Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery , Cherokee County, Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
