Wes spent his life in the Welling area with the love of his life, Nora Ellen (Sims) Campbell, whom he married on February 8th of 1955 in Wichita, KS. Though they never had children of their own, Wes was especially proud of and loved his nieces, nephews, and cousins. Most of his career was spent working for Boeing Aircraft. As much as he liked working for Boeing, his most prized accomplishment was his yard. He kept his yard immaculate at all times. Many people would drive by just to admire the perfectly manicured grass and impeccable flower beds as well as the array of dogwood trees in bloom, and of course usually a glimpse of Wes riding the mower he seemed to always be on. Wes enjoyed going to the lake for family cookouts, heading to the bowling alley, or helping out his church family that he loved so much. Though Wes has gone home to streets of gold and the most perfect yard he could ever imagine, he will be greatly missed by all his friends and family he leaves behind.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and three brothers; Waiter, Archie, and Billy Campbell.
Those left to remember the joy he brought to this life by never meeting a stranger include, four brothers; Charles Campbell of Tahlequah, OK, John Campbell of Welling, OK, Darrel Campbell and wife Nancy of Davis, OK, and Thomas Fixin and wife Jodie of Cookson, OK, three sisters; Ollie Thornton and husband Jerry of Wichita, KS, Letha Marris and husband Roy of Ardmore, OK and Mary Campbell of the home as well as a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
