Sue Ann French was born on April 3rd, 1954, in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Floyd and Gloria (Nelson) Stephens. Theirs was a lively household with six more daughters and one son, Buck, Debra, Janie, Karen, Brenda and Linda. She attended school and graduated from Hulbert High School. She then decided on attending Northeastern State University to work on a degree, and it was while at NSU she wrote a short story about her dad that would later be published. She wanted a career as a homemaker to her two sons, Brett and Jimmy Ray. She adored them and keeping up with all their activities. She was very proud of her two granddaughters, Olivia and Victoria. She cherished every moment spent with them. There was nothing more relaxing to Sue Ann then curling up with a tall, cold Pepsi and watching her favorite show, Walker, Texas Ranger. She loved it! Her health began to fail her and she moved into Assisted Living where she resided for 5 years. She passed from this life on December 15th, 2020.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, her Mom and Dad, three sisters, Karen Rhodes, Brenda Hensen, and Linda Jones, and her one brother, Buck Stephens.
Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved son, Brett French and wife Colbi of Eugene, OR and Jimmy Ray Spears Jr of Eugene, OR. She also leaves the father- of her sons, and good friend, Ted French. She leaves her sisters, Debra Heath and husband Billy of Tahlequah, OK and Janie Stephens and companion Tommie Jenkins, also of Tahlequah, OK. She will live on in her granddaughters, Olivia and Victoria Spears as well as a very special niece, Lorrie Stephens, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
Memorial services for Sue Ann French will be conducted in Oregon at a later date.
