Shirley Ann Murphy

Funeral services for Shirley Ann Beaver-Murphy will be held on Friday, November 6th, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home with Brother Rodney Chuculate officiating. Her family will receive visitors on Thursday, November 5th, 2020 beginning at 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. She will be laid to rest with her family at South Bunch Cemetery in Bunch, Community, OK. Online condolences for her family may be left at www.reedculver.com.

Pallbearers for Shirley include Skylar Murphy, Aaron Murphy, Cadan Clinton, Luther Henson, Shannon Beaver, and Hunter Miller.

Shirley Ann Murphy was born on May 27th, 1955 in Talihina, OK, the daughter of Alex Beaver Sr. and Irene (Bunch) Beaver. She was raised with five brothers and six sisters, Johnny, Alex , Russell, Dennis, Sammy, Linda Kay, Linda Sue, Allene, Doris, Faye, and Edna. She attended school and then began her career as a full time wife and mother when she married Tim Murphy. She was the proud mother of two sons and three daughters, Shannon, Mose, Jennifer, Karen and Tamara. She loved caring for her family and took great pride their activities and accomplishments. She was happiest out doors, enjoying the sunshine, working in the yard and reading in the shade. You could always find her listening to music and singing along. The best times for her were when her family gathered and shared a meal and told stories all afternoon, she loved her family. She was a devout Christian, and a faithful member of Harvest Time Tabernacle, where she studied the Bible and enjoyed good gospel music. She was always interested in the activities of her 15 grand and 4 great grandchildren. She passed from this life on Sunday, November 1st, 2020 in Tulsa, OK with her loved ones by her side. She was 65 years old and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, her Mom and Dad, her husband Tim Murphy , her daughter, Karen Miller, two brothers Johnny and Dennis Beaver, and two sisters, Faye Beaver and Edna Beaver.

Those left to remember her include her daughters, Jennifer Murphy and Tamara Murphy of Tahlequah and two sons, Shannon Beaver and Mose Murphy both of Tahlequah. She leaves her brothers and sisters, Alex Beaver Sr of Arkansas, Russell Beaver of Cookson, OK, Sammy Beaver of Cookson, OK, Linda Kay Caberra of Tulsa, OK, Linda Holmes of Dry Creek, OK, Allene Holmes of Dry Creek, OK, and Doris Henson of Hulbert, OK. She lives on in her 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
