Shannon Lee Paden was born on March 22nd, 1970 in Memphis, TN, the son of Tommy Gene and Donita Kay (Haggard) Paden. He attended school and played football at Tahlequah High School. After graduation, he went to work for Greenleaf Nursery, and he stayed there for most of his working career. When he wasn’t working, he was working on vehicles, enjoying a little fishing or Bingo, and always spinning a few tales to share. He was friendly and outgoing, and never had a shortage of friends. Normally, you would find Shannon in the company of his favorite canine companion, “Sasquatch”. He loved his best friend and companion, LaDonna Sue, and loved any free time they spent together. He was the proud father of two sons, Donald and Jerod and one daughter, Maggie. He truly enjoyed life just the way he found it, and the view from his backyard was enough for him. Shannon passed from this life on February 2nd, 2023 in Tahlequah, OK, surrounded by those who knew him. He was 52 years old and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald Lee Haggard and wife Freida Mae Chidester-Haggard, and Millard Thomas Paden and wife Norma Jo Carter-Paden. He also precedes his father Tommy, and his sister, Shelly Raelynn Paden in 2008.
Those left to cherish Shannon’s memory include his children, Donald Lee and Jerod Levi Paden and his daughter Maggie May Paden of Oklahoma, as well as his companion, LaDonna Sue Ballard of the home in Tahlequah. He leaves his mother, Donita Kay Haggard Paden of Tahlequah, OK, and his brother, Jason Paden and companion Pam Smiley of Tahlequah, OK. He also leaves many cousins, and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
Graveside services for Shannon Lee Paden will be conducted on Friday, February 10th, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Greenleaf Cemetery with his family paying tribute to Shannon’s life. He will have a visitation on Thursday, February 9th, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Reed-Culver Funeral Home. Online condolences for Shannon may be left at www.reedculver.com.
