SUGARLAND, TX- Funeral services for Ruth Ann (Spradlin) Warren will be held on Tuesday, August 6th, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Reverend Rex Henderson, of Peggs Community Church, officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 5th, 2013 from noon until 8:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel with the family from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Burial will take place at New Home Cemetery. Pall bearers include J.B. Spradlin, Billy Spradlin, Charles Spradlin, Anthony Petty, Chris Dodd, and Clay Smith.
Ruth Ann Warren was born on October 28th, 1947, in Peggs, OK, the daughter of William and Leann (Ragland) Spradlin. She attended school in Tahlequah, OK. She married the love of her life, Bob Warren on June 19th, 1965 in Tahlequah, OK. This union was blessed with two children and 48 years of marriage. They moved to Houston where the family has lived for their lifetime. Ruth was an immaculate lady. She was always dressed for any occasion. She worked at Wells Fargo Bank where she held the position of Head Teller. She loved people and was always warm and friendly. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family shopping for antiques and furniture. She liked to go shopping and spend the day looking for a bargain. She was such a delight to talk with as she made you feel like she had known you all her life. Her family was the important to her and any chance to spend time with them was special for Ruth. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she even had “Gma” on her wrist in their honor. Every accomplishment they made was watched with great pride and love. She was forever young at heart and never let life’s circumstances slow her down. She enjoyed listening to music, especially the “Blues”. She was a Roman Catholic by faith and regularly attended St. Thomas Aquinas Church. She had beaten lung cancer 15 years ago but her health began to fail her, and the Lord called her from her earthly labors on July 31st, 2013. She was 65 years old. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends for all the love and joy she brought into their lives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Michael Warren, one sister, Linda Spradlin, and her grandparents.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Bob of Sugarland, TX, and two adoring children, son Robert Warren Jr. and wife Janet of Tahlequah, OK and daughter, Tammy Warren of Missouri City, TX. She leaves two brothers, Willard Spradlin and wife Carol Ann of Peggs, OK and Johnny Spradlin of Locust Grove, OK. Her legacy lives on in her grandchildren, Steven Warren of College Station, TX, Colby Luper of Tahlequah, OK, Jalynn Warren of Tahlequah, OK, and Ruth Ann Warren of Tahlequah, OK, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
