Graveside services for Russell Lee Carlile will be held on Tuesday, March 24th, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Tahlequah City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 23rd, 2015 from Noon until 7:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.reedculver.com.

Russell Lee Carlile was born one of five children to Leon Perry and Jessie Geneva (McDonald) Carlile. He graduated from Tahlequah High School, and would later attend school learning heating and air and welding. He worked most of his life as an independent truck driver, in construction work as a heavy machine operator, and as an apartment manager. On October 25th, 2003, he married his wife, Helen “June” Badley in Eureka Springs, AR. They enjoyed doing so many things together and were always happy in each others company. They were delighted with every chance they got to spend time with their grandchildren, Chelsea, Xoe, Xander, Zoey, and Kelly. When he had free time, Russell enjoyed being a backyard mechanic, and really enjoyed working on Bronco’s. He loved watching any kind of movies, especially action thrillers. He attended the Church of God in his youth, and continued to read the Bible in his later years. He was the man that could make your day a little brighter with his smile, and the stories he had to tell. He was happy and loved talking to people. Any time spent with his family was a special treat. His memory was exceptional, and he often remembered conversations he had with people long after he met them. Russell was tender hearted, and a most devoted brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was fond of his canine companions and raised Shar Peis and liked Pit Bulls. His journey on this earth was brief due to ill health, and he passed from this life on Thursday, March 19th, 2015 in Tahlequah at the age of 57 years. He will be greatly missed for all the love he shared with those who knew him.
Russell is preceded in death by his father, Leon in 2010, his grandparents, Nolan and Sarah McDonald, Willie and Alma Carlile, one nephew, Jay Lucas, and his mother-in- law and dear friend, Georgia Badley.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, June Carlile of the home, his mother, Jessie Carlile of Tahlequah, OK, two children, Darrell Michael Coats and Whitney Welch of Tahlequah, and Crystal Coats also of Tahlequah. He leaves one brother and four sisters, Leon William and wife Mary Culver- Carlile of Tahlequah, OK, Sandra Farmer and husband Sam of Coweta, OK, Donna McNabb of Claremore, OK, and Karen Howe and husband Gary of Park Hill, OK. he lives on in his five grandchildren, Chelsea Long of Conway, AR, Xoe Coats and Xander Coats of Tahlequah, OK, Zoey Creel of Tahlequah, and Kelly Bailey of Tahlequah. He leaves one uncle, two aunts, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
