Raymond “Rainman” Carol Philpott was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was born September 16, 1963, the son of Vern and Mamie Peugh. He left this world suddenly on February 28, 2022 at the age of 58.
Raymond was always a hard-working man. He spend many years as a pole barn builder before finally enjoying the life of full-time dad. He was blessed to have found two great loves to share his life with. He built a wonderful life with Laura (Glory) Philpott and raised six beautiful children. She left this world much too soon. He was blessed to love again. He married Stephanie (Hiers) Philpott on February 28, 1998. They would add 4 more precious children to their family. However, the Creator wasn’t done there. He soon added another son to his ever-growing family.
Raymond always loved spending time with his family and friends. In his younger years, you could find him enjoying a game of pool. As the children got older, his passion changed to coaching softball, and eventually playing softball. He loved the game and missed it dearly when his health no longer allowed him to play. So, he soon took up fishing. He liked dragging the kids and grandchildren out to join him on the river. Even though he made a fuss, he loved our family dinners.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Philpott and David Peugh.
Raymond was called home much too soon. Those left to celebrate his life include his wife of 24 years, Stephanie Philpott of the home. He also leaves behind his 11 children: Maranda Foreman and spouse Brad Norseworthy, Jason Foreman, Robin Glory, Hollie Walkingstick DeBord and husband Bernie, Jennifer Philpott Wilson and husband Joe "J.J." Jr., Sammual Harbison and wife Amber, Bryttany Philpott, Joseph Hiers, Raymond Philpott Jr., Tehya Philpott, and Wyatt Philpott of the home, his loving parents, Vern and Mamie Peugh and is fathers-in-law: Charles Hiers Sr. of Hollywood, FL and Harold Foreman of Tahlequah, OK. Along with his brothers and sisters: Darla Shields and husband Mark, Syvilla Peugh, Samuel Peugh, Timothy Peugh, Sharon Peugh, Louie Peugh, William Peugh, and Ella Haupt and brother-in-law, Charles Hiers Jr. and wife Mary Ella. His memory lives on through 26 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Closest friend and brother, James Soap, and adopted mother Barbara Weavel. Many more family members and even longer list of friends.
To KNOW Raymond….was to LOVE him. A deep loss will be felt, but his love will carry on in many hearts.
