Norma Lou Leach-Rock was born on December 29th,1953 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Leach Leach and Jennie (Owl) Cameron. She grew up with her four sisters, Linda, Lois, Wanda and Mary, attending high school in St. Louis and then the family returned to the Tahlequah area, it was here that Norma began her college studies. She began her family and raised her daughters, Teonna and Donnay, her pride and joy. She loved any chance she got to spend with her girls, sharing a laugh or a meal. Norma was a hard working woman, who made multi tasking look like childs play. She worked at the hospital in Audiology, and pharmacy, and later, Admin. She served on the UKB Election Board, and did whatever she could to help those around her to live a better life. She had an outgoing personality and wasted no time in expressing herself. She was strong willed, knew what was right, didn’t waiver, and loved people! Friends were of real value and importance, treasured. She never let the chance go to tell them how much she appreciated them. She loved to go shopping with her girls, play a little Bingo, take long rides in the car, and her absolute favorite activity, a day at the creek, with a little swimming, and a cookout later in the day. Her grandkids were the reason she worked so hard. She couldn’t wait to be with her Neska and Talon, enjoying a day together. Her health began to fail her, and she passed from this life on February 12th, 2016 with her family by her side. She was 62.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one nephew, Nathan Blackbird, and two nieces, Constance Leach and Wenona Leach.
Those left to celebrate her life include her two daughters, Teonna Rock-Blissett and husband Mike of Florida, and Donnay Leach of Tahlequah, OK. She leaves four sisters, Linda Leach Weavel and husband of Tahlequah, Lois Leach Deason and husband, James Deason of Peggs, Wanda Leach-Jones and husband Charles of Tahlequah, OK, and Mary Owl of Sallisaw, OK. Her legacy lives on in her two adored grandchildren, Neska Rock-Blissett and Talon Rock-Blissett, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends and loved ones.
