Marsha Lynn Ward-Laughlin was born on October 30th, 1963 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of David and Billie Sue (Fears) Ward. She grew up with one brother and two sisters, Linda, Vicki, and Franklin. She devoted all of her time and energy in being the best daughter, wife, mother and grandmother she could be. She married the love of her life, Garie E. Laughlin on November 4th, 2000 in Hulbert, OK. Together they loved a family of three sons, two daughters, and 15 grandchildren. She loved caring for her family, they were everything to Marsha. She was also a very loving dog mom to Oscar the Grouch and Brutus. She was often found going around the house with her music going, a little county and western, a little rock and roll, cleaning and keeping up with the kids. She was a strong woman that knew her mind and what she wanted in life. She expressed herself and was independently minded. When she had a little free time, she wanted her family to join her for a little fishing at their favorite spot and a little camping under the stars. Evenings were spent watching the old shows she liked, the Beverely Hillbillies being one, and anything spooky being the other. Holidays were her favorite time of the year. She couldn’t wait to fix the big meal, wrap the gifts and spend the day watching them unwrap gifts. She was the type of friend that was there for you no matter what. She cared how you felt, wanted only the best for you, and loved unconditionally. She was the first one you saw in the morning and the last one at night, making sure everything worked out just right. Her strength and resolve were tested, she became sick and had a difficult time getting well. She passed from this life unexpectedly on March 3rd, 2022 after reaching the age of 58 years. She leaves a void that can never be filled.
She is preceded in death by her son, Andy Ward, grandparents, her mother and father, her brother, Franklin Ward, and her sister, Linda Banning.
Those left to celebrate her life include her husband, Garie Laughlin of the home in Tahlequah, OK, and her children, Michael Allen Janes of Tahlequah, Randy Ward of Tahlequah, OK, Mindy Renee Adair and husband Jacob of Hulbert, OK, and Misty Elaine Hill and husband Dustin of Dothan, AL. She leaves her sister, Vicki Ward of Independence, KS. She lives on in her 15 grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
