Jordan William Swimmer was born on November 24th, 1990 in Tulsa, OK, the son of Alex and Sheila (Douglas) Swimmer. He grew up with two brothers and five sisters, Brittnee, Kanyon, Amber, Jayden, Talon, Koi, and Amiyah. He attended school at Union High School and loved playing football and basketball. He loved music of all kinds but Rap was his all time favorite. He loved any time spent with his family, and especially his son, Chayton, he adored him. He worked as a warehouse worker. He was sensitive to peoples' feelings and was always apologizing. He was a member of Victory Christian Church in Tulsa and loved the people at the church like family. Life wasn’t always easy for Jordan, and sometimes the road was rough. He lost his father and brother Kanyon and sister, Amber. He kept the faith and tried to smile one more day. The Lord called this talented and sensitive man home from his many labors on July 16th, 2024 in Tulsa, OK. Surrounded by those that loved him. He was 33 years old and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Alex, his brother and sister, and his grandparents, Charley and Imogene (Miller) Swimmer.
Those left to celebrate his life include his mother, Sheila Douglas Swimmer of the home in Tulsa, OK. He also leaves his son, Chayton Swimmer of Broken Arrow, OK, and his brothers and sisters, Brittnee Swimmer and companion Nathan Soap of Tahlequah, Jayden Swimmer, Talon Swimmer, Koi Swimmer and Amiyah Swimmer all of Tulsa, OK. He leaves his grandparents, Ray and Nora (Foreman) Douglas of Tulsa, OK, and his nieces, Rhyiah Soap , and Renaya Soap of Tahlequah and Nizhoni Badoni of Owasso. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
Funeral services for Jordan William Swimmer will be conducted on Monday, July 22nd, 2024 beginning at 10:00 AM at Reed-Culver Chapel with Reverend Cullus Buck officiating. There will be a visitation beginning at 9:00 AM just before services. He will be laid to rest at Barber Cemetery next to his family.
