Glenda Kay (Grass) Johnson was born in Talihina, OK on January 1st, 1957, bringing in the New Year. She was born to Maude L. Linville, and grandparents, Isaac and Annabelle Grass. Kay was raised the majority of her childhood in the Rocky Ford community. She finished out her schooling in Owasso and graduated there in 1975. Soon thereafter, she made the move to Texas, where she met her lifelong soul mate, Kerry Lynn Johnson. They were happily married by the Justice of the Peace on August 27, 1986. Together they shared twenty four years of life and love. Kay gave birth to Tyler Lynn on April 7th, 1987. Just 13 months later, on May 3rd, twins, Mikah Aaron and Tawny D’Nann were welcomed into the world. Soon thereafter, the Johnson family moved to Tulsa and later in 1997, moved back to the country in Rocky Ford. The family began to attend Grace Baptist Church. Kay was led by the Holy Spirit and gave her heart to the Lord. She was baptized by Jim Campbell and became a strong believer and servant of Christ. She would continue her Christian walk at Twin Oaks Baptist Church where she spent the later part of her life as a faithful member. On December 8th, 2009, Kay was blessed and extremely excited about her first grandson, Xander Lynn. Exactly 3 years later, to the date, Grandson number two, Traden Cole, was born. Kay absolutely loved watching her grandsons and as well as her granddaughters, Cayle and Allie. Kay will be missed beyond measure by her immediate and extended family as well as many friends. She loved her family all the same, unconditionally. We find solace in knowing she is forever healed and in the presence of the Lord.
