George Allen Soap Jr. was born on March 20th, 1946 in Tahlequah, Ok, the son of George and Sally (Hummingbird) Soap Sr. He grew up with four brothers and four sisters, John, Larry, David, Samuel, Maggie, Narce, Neva, and Sandra. He attended Hulbert high school and then began his working career in the construction industry as a painter and mason. When he wasn’t working, he was playing his guitar and singing just like Elvis. He was very artistic and worked in designing Native jewelry. George was the jack-of-all trades, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do if he set his mind to the task. He was sweet and very funny, and possessed the sense of humor that always kept you on your toes. He was always the life of the party, and made the evening more fun by his wit and humor. He was so very proud of his Cherokee heritage and spoke Cherokee fluently. Of all the things in life that made him happy, it was time spent with his family and friends. He adored them. The Lord called George home from this life and its many trials on July 23rd, 2020 in Lindsay, OK at the age of 74 years old. He will be greatly missed.
