Delores “Dee” Jean Scott, age 68 finished her life’s journey on Saturday, February 21, 2015 in Tahlequah, OK. She began her journey on April 16, 1946 in Belfonte, OK the daughter of Cherry Marie Buzzard. Along the way she met Bill Thomas Scott who turned out to be a wonderful loving husband of 51 years after their union on July 15, 1963 in Fort Smith Arkansas, to his understanding, in all this time they never had a single argument. A funeral service has been planned for 11:30 am at Reed Culver Chapel with Brother Bill Rountree officiating. Pallbearers include George Scott, William Scott, Greg Scott, Johnathan Foster, Kolton Scott, Ross Hooper, and Wyatt T. Scott. Honorary pallbearer will be Jessie Hooper. Visitation will be held Wednesday at Reed Culver Funeral Home.
Dee absolutely loved to play bingo at the VFW, and when she wasn’t playing bingo she could be found behind a sewing machine working on a quilt; a love she shared with her beloved Aunt Jewel Buzzard, Mom loved spending time with her family and cooking, she was the greatest chocolate gravy maker, according to George and she loved to hunt and fish and ride horses. Mom truly loved the outdoors. Dee was a great woman and a wonderful wife. Mom loved her little brother, Mike and was a great sister. She will be greatly missed by all her family and loved ones.
The ones she joins in heaven include her mother, and one grandson; Walter Dustin Foster.
Those left to remember the legacy of her journey include her husband Bill T. Scott of the home, three sons; George Thomas Scott, William Howard Scott, Greg Scott and wife Kim all of Tahlequah, OK, one daughter; Sheila Anne Scott of Cookson, OK, 15 grandchildren: Dawnielle Keck, Wyatt T. Scott, Allie Scott, Natasha Santana, Becky Kessen, Johnathan Scott Foster, Emily Scott, Kolton Scott, Chad Dustin Brannon, William Howard Scott Jr., Ross Hooper, Jessie Hooper, Buster Reed, Rhea Reed, Marty Reed-Paulk, and Marcie Reed, 9 great grandchildren, and an uncle; Ed Buzzard, three sister-in-laws; Jane Thorn, Rosie Glory, Evelyn Garoutte, a brother-in-law; Robert Scott, and several dear cousins; Karen Moore, Shirley Sanders, Mary Buzzard, Sonny Buzzard and Christine Armer. As well as a host of friends and other loved ones.
