Cynthia Jean “Cindy” Eastep was born October 1st, 1960 in Tulsa, OK the daughter of Jackie Gerald McAlvain and Judith Carlene Harris. She worked as a cook at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa, OK. When Cindy wasn’t working, you could find her home, cleaning the place from top to bottom. Then it was off to the creek to enjoy the afternoon with her family and friends. She was always listening to music and loved a good country song. There was always a yard sale or a shopping trip to plan. Cindy thought the world of her family and couldn’t wait to spent time with them every chance she got. She loved a good joke and had a wonderful sense of humor. There were no strangers at the door, just a new friend Cindy hadn’t met yet. She was loving and caring, a friend when you were in need of a friend, and above all, a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. A Baptist by faith, Cindy attended the Little Rock Freewill Baptist Church. Cindy was called to her heavenly home on May 8th, 2013 in Tahlequah, Ok with her loved ones close by her side. She was 52 years old.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother and father, two beloved sons, Mitchell and Michael Eastep, her step-father, Jack O’Neal, and her brother, Billy McAlvain.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Kim McAlvain of Rose, OK, and Sandra Witt of Jay, OK. She leaves five sisters and one brother, Jackie Millspaugh, Shari McAlvain, and Tina Raider and husband Michael all of Tahlequah, OK, Jackie England and Phyllis Schonier and husband Rex all of Paris, TX, and David O’Neal and wife Lisa of New Kirk, OK.
