Carol Ann Botts

Funeral Services for Carol Ann Botts age 72, of Hulbert, OK, have been planned for 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Reed Culver Chapel with Pastor Bill and Beth Pettit officiating. Visitation has been planned for Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Reed Culver Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers include Roger Parker, Bobby Botts, Dale Wallace, Kent Wurtzel, Kevin Botts, and Gary Miller. Honorary pallbearers are Timmy Botts, Tony Humbyrd, and David Cobb.

Carol began this life’s journey on January 21, 1945 in Islip, NY, the daughter of William and Ruth (Davis) Myers. She was one of five children that blessed her parents’ household. Carol met the love of her life, William Botts, and they were married on July 24, 1963 in Garland, TX. Their marriage was blessed with four children and 53 happy years together. Carol was a devout Holy Ghost filled Christian who loved Jesus with her whole heart and enjoyed dedicating her time to help out, and attend Freedom Church in Hulbert, OK. Second only to God, Carol loved her family more than they could imagine and never missed an opportunity to be around her grandkids. Carol seemed to be tireless with her willingness to give of herself to help others, she was a true servant for the kingdom of God with the kindest heart a person could have, always finding the time to put others before herself. From her dedication to her church, helping others and the love of her job with the department of human services, from which she retired, Carol still found time to relax and drop a line in her favorite crappie hole from time to time. Of all the joy Carol found in life none was more precious to her than the time she spent with William, the love of her life, traveling in “Big Red”. Carol was a very special woman that will be celebrated by all those that were lucky enough to meet her.

Her father completing life’s journey before her, welcomed her through heavens gates.

Those left to remember the joy she brought along the way include her mother, her husband, one son; Kevin Botts and wife Dalaina of Lost City, OK, three daughters; Jacqueline Humbyrd and husband Tony of Hulbert, OK, Sarah Miller and husband Gary of Porum, OK and Shania Cobb and husband David of Hulbert, OK, three brothers; Bill Myers, David Myers and wife Dorie of CA, and Bob Myers and wife Diane of Omaha, NE, one sister; Debbie Phillips and husband Timothy of Blacksburg, VA and eight grandchildren: Jonathan Botts, Raelyn Botts, Ryder Botts, Joshua Swift, William Augustus Miller, Lane Miller, Scott Miller, and Kate Miller, as well as, a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
