Bobbie Jean Latty was born on January 15th, 1949 in Oklahoma City, OK, the daughter of Jack and Alberta (Patterson) Houston. Upon graduating from High School, she entered beauty College and attended until she graduated in 1968. She then married the love of her life, husband Gary Latty at the Cookson United Methodist church on November 30th, 1968. Together they shared 46 years of life and raised their two daughters, Lana and Larista. Bobbie Jean often worked throughout her life as a caregiver for people with health issues. The job she enjoyed the most was taking care of her family, her home, and being in their company. She enjoyed keeping up with her daughters at all their activities, and equally so her very wonderful grandchildren. Bobbie Jean was very talented and worked in stained glass as well as other hobbies. Bobbie was a proud member of the Priesthood Motorcycle Ministry and enjoyed being with her family and friends, riding down the highway and sharing time with the “Priesthood.” She loved people and it showed in her smile and the way she could sit down and talk to anyone. She was strong willed, kind and generous with her time and talent. She loved any chance she got to be with her children and grandchildren . She was a Christian by faith and a member of the New Life Worship Center. Bobbie became ill, and met her end passing like she lived her life, on her terms. The Lord called this good and faithful servant to her heavenly home on Friday, October 24th, 2014 in her home, surrounded by those whom she loved most. Bobbie Jean was 65.
Bobbie Jean is preceded in death by her mother, Alberta and her father, Jack, as well as her grandparents.
