Aaron Bartelee Plumlee was born on February 1st, 1973 in Tulsa, OK, the son of Edgar Bartelee and Lucille (Harrison) Plumlee. Aaron was raised with one brother, Johnny Harrison, and three sisters, Cheryle, Sherry, and Debbie Plumlee. He began his career as a cook in the restaurant industry, and he thoroughly enjoyed his work and his co-workers. The family moved around quite a bit, and he finished his schooling in Wewoka. He decided in a career cooking in restaurants, and was working as a cook at Pizza Hut at the end of his career. He raised a family of four sons and one daughter, Kyle, Denise, Joseph, Douglas and Dakota. He loved to go to the river and take his children for a fun day of fishing and relaxing. There were few ponds and rivers that Aaron hadn’t tried. He enjoyed camping and taking the grandchildren for an ice cream. He listened to heavy metal music and liked Rob Zombie , Sammy Hagar and Thin Lizzie. He was loving and selfless, caring and always seeking the good of those around him. He was an amazing cook, and made the best pork chops and anything he grilled outdoors. With his favorite canine companion Lucy, his long haired dachshund, he always felt in good company, and didn’t feel the need to have others near him all the time. He adored his children and grandchildren, they were so very special to Aaron. He passed from this life on January 9th, 2022 at the age of 48 years, in Fayetteville, AR, surrounded by those he loved.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his brother, Matthew McLemore, mother-in-law, Evelyn McLemore and his beloved furry baby Lucy.
Those left to celebrate his memory include his mother, Lucille Harrison of Seminole, OK, and his father, Edgar Plumlee of Siloam Springs, AR. He leaves his children, Kyle Barnett and Kristine Harjo of Okmulgee, OK, Denise Barnett of Okmulgee, Joseph Barnett of Okemah, Douglas Barnett of Okmulgee, and Dakota Barnett also of Okmulgee. He leaves his brother and sisters, Cheryle Plumlee of Seminole, OK, Sherry Sullens of Fall River, KS, Debbie Plumlee of Tulsa, OK, and Johnny Harrsion and wife Joann of Seminole, OK. He lives on in his five grandchildren, Ivan Isaac, Kyler Barnett, Cherish Isaac, Trinity Barnett, and Theo Barnett, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
Services for Aaron Bartelee Plumlee will be held on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022 at 2:00 Pm at Edwin McLemore’s residence with his family paying tribute. His family will host a wake service on Monday, January 17th, 2022 beginning at noon at Edwin McLemore’s residence. Online condolences for his family may be left at www.reedculver.com.
