Maria Lupita Guadalupe Ruiz

Mrs. Ruiz was a seamstress in the Taft area. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ellen (Nasario) Ruiz-Guerrero and Janie Tamez (Abraham Jimenez) both of Corpus Christi, Texas; five sons: Nick (Lupe) Ruiz and Jesus Ruiz Jr., both of Victoria, Texas, Joe (Wendy) Ruiz of Colorado, Steve (Kitra) Ruiz of Houston, Texas and Tony (Angie) Ruiz of San Marcos, Texas; 20 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2013, at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, Taft, Texas, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Francisco Lopez as celebrant. Burial will follow in Taft at Taft Memorial Park Cemetery.
