Luis Gomez

Luis Gomez passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015, at the age of 83. He was born in Goliad, Texas, on September 26, 1931, to Auerelio and Paula Gomez. Luis was well known in the Taft area and had many friends that will miss him.

Luis was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Dionicio Ortiz, Jr.; sisters, Ignacia Naranjo and Aurora Mendez; brother Domingo Gomez; and nephew, Domingo Gomez, Jr.

He will always be loved and remembered by his sister and brother-in-law, Hortencia and Domingo Hernandez; sister, Lily Ortiz; nieces, Oralia Flores and Ofie Rosalez and husband, Ruben Lopez; nephews, David Hernandez and wife, Mickala, Damian Hernandez and Dennis Hernandez.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. that same evening also at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Parrie officiating. Burial will follow the service at Taft Memorial Park.
