Mary Ann Arcaro Vecchiano, 60, of East Syracuse passed away Friday with her family by her side. She was a native of East Syracuse and graduated from Convent High School and Maria Regina College. Mary Ann was a communicant of St. Matthew’s Church. She was a teacher assistant in the East Syracuse Minoa School District and most recently worked at Together We Grow Daycare. An avid bowler with the Imperialetes for 38 years she also followed ESM and Lemoyne College Softball where her daughter played. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Mathew; children, Mathew (Pam) Vecchiano of Oneida, Megan (Patrick) Ervin of East Syracuse and Michael Vecchiano of Buffalo, NY; grandchildren, Schuyler and Matison Vecchiano, Ty and Blake Ervin; sister, Cheryl Arcaro of Syracuse; a brother; sister-in-law, Carol (Jim) Falsey of Liverpool; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:15 a.m. at Farone & Son Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St. Matthew’s Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park St. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during Mary Ann’s illness.
