Evelyn Tatem Martin

Evelyn P. (Tatem) Martin, 82, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at her home. Born in Huntingdon, Quebec, Canada, she resided in Syracuse for 30 years. In 2008 Evelyn retired from Patrick’s Dry Cleaners after 27 years of employment. She was predeceased by her husband, Elwood “Whitey” Martin; brother, Charles Tatem; and sisters, Anne Bose, Iris McGalshan, Florence Phillips, and Margaret Dow.

Evelyn is survived by one son, John C. Martin of Clinton, MA; sister, Carol Martin of Montreal, Canada; one niece, Linda Phillips of North York, Ontario.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
