Carol Varre

Carol (Annis) Varre, 66, of Fairmont, passed away Tuesday at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family and loved ones. Born in Germany, she was a resident of Fairmont most of her life. Carol was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Carol was a loving wife, mother, daughter “Coddy”, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all. Her fight like a girl attitude was what her and her daughters stood by during her fight with breast cancer. She was predeceased by her daughter, Caroline and her father, Srgt. Philip Annis.

Survivors: Her husband of 44 years, Richard “Sarge” Varre; daughters, Michelle (Billy Carr) Judd Varre of Mattydale, Janelle Varre of Fairmont (Lance Corp. Jason Martinez), and Ericka (Tim Austin) Argy Varre of Fairmont. “We love you mom”; her mother, Janet Annis; brother, Fred Annis of Fairmont; 15 grandchildren, Ashlie (George), Lorina (Marty), Faustina, Destiny, Estella, Izaiha, Johanna, Geoffery, Krystal (Joe, Chelseah, Vincent, Gunner, Sophia, Tristyn, and Aliviah; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Camryn, Conner, Jerimiah, Austin, Izabella, Gabeirel, Lilly, Prestin, and Madison.

The family would like to thank her many friends that were there for her throughout her life and especially during her illness. Also to Dr. Kirshner and his nursing staff that helped during this time and to her nurse, Meghan.
