Grace M. Tesoriero

January 18, 1937 – May 14, 2023

In loving memory of Grace Tesoriero, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great

grandmother. Grace passed away on Mother’s Day 2023, serendipitously reuniting with her own mother

Rosaria, sister Caroline, and daughters, Carol Ann, Laura and Heather who preceded her in heaven.

Grace was born and raised in Brooklyn to Rosaria and Joseph Russo. Grace was the conduit bridging the

old world of Panarea Italy and the new one in America. In August 1957 she married Frank Tesoriero and

together they raised their five children in Syosset, New York.

Grace was a devout Catholic with strong commitments to God and family. She was greatly influenced by

the Brooklyn nuns of Sacred Heart of Jesus Elementary School and Bishop McDonnell HS. She also

attended Katherine Gibbs and worked in downtown Manhattan as a young woman before becoming a

full time wife and mom.

Grace was very proud of her home and lovely flowering garden. She loved cooking and entertaining and

was an exemplary hostess to family and friends on the holidays and throughout the year.

Some of her greatest accomplishments were her knowledge of family, strength in times of adversity,

extending compassion and empathy to those in need.

Grace was dedicated to family and friends in numerous ways. She always spoke her mind and always

expected the best from her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Frank(Robin) and daughter Janet, 13 cherished grandchildren – Stefan (Nidia),

Joshua (Juenan), Lucas (Sara), Zachary, Trinity, Samuel, Rose, Yashar, Joseph, Maxwell, Amelia, Ava

Rose and Grace Giulia and 4 great grandchildren – Aaron, Bastiano, Harlan, Quinn Francis and as well as

many other loved ones including Silvana, and her daughter’s spouses Hernan, James and Scott. She

leaves behind a beloved legacy to her family and friends.

The family will receive friends on May 21– from 3-8pm at Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Rd, Syosset,

NY.

A funeral mass will take place on Monday, May 22 at St. Edward the Confessor R.C. Church in Syosset at

9.45 am followed by interment St. Charles Cemetery, Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, New York
