A preacher once said: “Give the best Christmas gift to the Lord.” We gave ours on December 24th, 2017. Linda Horton Arnett went to be with Jesus just in time for a Christmas celebration - Even though in life she was always late!
Her loving husband of 41 years Virgil Arnett, daughters Sara (Mike Woodard), Amanda (Ernie Edwards) Casey (Zach Lewis), grandsons Tucker, Knox, Nate, parents Velma and Richard Horton, brothers Ricky and David will selfishly miss her, but are so thankful for the deep-seated faith in God that she made sure to pass down.
Linda did things her own way and her cancer prognosis was no different. She felt it was an opportunity the Lord had granted her to share Jesus. A missionary in her own right, she spread the gospel to people on her many travels. She loved the Lord, the outdoors, horses, practical jokes, anything rusty and most importantly her family.
She will be buried at the family farm in Sylvania, GA with a service Friday at 2pm at Oak Hill Baptist Church. A jubilee celebration will be held January 6th at Allan and Camilla Roberts barn, located at 4175 SR 16, St. Augustine, FL 32092.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to Neuroendocrine Cancer Awareness Network. Here are the links: https://donorbox.org/help-ncan-fight-neuroendocrine-cancer or to https://thehealingnet.z2systems.com/np/clients/thehealingnet/donation.jsp .
