Susan Barnett, born September 14, 1955, in Sylacauga, Alabama, passed from this life and into the arms of her Savior March 14, 2023. She was the daughter of Erris and Nelda Barnett. She was a graduate of Sylacauga High School. She held two degrees from Samford University. She was employed by Maynard Cooper law firm in Birmingham as a paralegal, and later by Canterbury United Methodist Church, serving as Executive Assistant to Dr. Bill Morgan, senior pastor.
She is survived by two sons, Allan Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, two grandsons, Hunter Guarnieri and Heath Guarnieri, one sister, Sandra Haynes (Ronnie), one brother, Gary Barnett (Peggy), one uncle, Clifford Barnett (Iris) and several nieces and nephews.
Susan was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She had a kind and compassionate heart. She enjoyed life and loved her family, church family and friends with a passionate love. She had a sweet spirit and a beautiful countenance. She was loved.
A graveside service for Susan will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery on Saturday, March 18, 2023 with Dr. Bill Morgan officiating.
