Sara Elaine Machen

Sara is survived by her son Kenneth Machen (Pam); her sister Cathrine "Cat" Mildred Morris; her grandchildren Michael Machen (Jennifer), Stephanie Wright (Dicky), and Ashley Hope (Jody) and her 9 Great Grandchildren.

Sara was preceded in death by her husband Francis Machen; her son Larry Machen; her mother Dorothy Cooner and her father Elmer Cooner; her brothers Jerry Cooner and Joe Cooner and her sister Janette Butts.

A visitation for Sara will be held Friday, September 29, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 12:00 PM at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. where Sara will be laid to rest. All services will be officiated by Rev. Mance McCarthy.

The Family will be receiving flowers or contributions in Sara's memory may be made to First Church of the Nazarene.

A sweet lady that loved and prayed for her family every day. She loved her church, First Church of the Nazarene and its members. She had told her granddaughter the day before her passing, "Do not fear." She did not fear passing because she is with her family in "Heaven."
