In the early morning hours of May 31, 2024, our mommy Mildred Elaine Wimmer, age 78, joined our daddy Noah Raymond Wimmer in heaven. Our mommy was born on November 20, 1946 in Sylacauga, Alabama to Annie Virginia Parker and Homer Lee Smith.
I know without a doubt we never truly lose the people that we love, but we can shed tears because she is gone, or we can smile because she lived. We can remember her and dwell that she is gone, or we can cherish her memory and let it live on. Our mother showed and taught us every emotion; happiness, sadness, excitement, fear, jealousy, love, stubbornness, helplessness and even anger. Because she has taught us all the emotions, she has prepared us to continue on in this life without her. We love you and are proud to call you Mom, Mother and Mommy. How lucky we are to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard, but it is your time to join Daddy, your two grandbabies, your Mom, brothers and sister in Heaven.
She was there for all our firsts, first bite of food, first drink from a straw, first crawl, first walk, first friend, first love, first heartache, now it is a new kind of first, first without her at our side, first time without seeing her or talking to her on Mother’s Day, on her birthday or Christmas. Our memories of her are yours and ours to keep. She holds us all in her heart, she always has and always will, not time and not even death can stop her from loving us.
