Lewis "LD" Prince, Sr.Childersburg, AL - Graveside service for Lewis "LD" Prince, Sr., 94, will be Monday, May 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery in Childersburg with Rev. Ernest Prince officiating.Mr. Prince died Saturday, April 4, 2013 at Bill Nichols State Veterans Home. He was a veteran of the US Army, retired as a pipefitter from Beaunit Mills after 18 1/2 years of service, and was a lifelong cattle farmer.  A loving father and grandfather all his life, he was a member of St. Andrew's Methodist Church and was a member of the Talladega Springs Masonic Lodge and Coosa Valley Masonic Lodge.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Hobbs Prince.He is survived by his sons, Ernest Prince, wife DeLana, and Lewis Prince, Jr., wife Toni, all of Childersburg; grandchildren, Chaney Prince, Luke Prince, Joshua Prince and Olivia Harris; brother, Benjamin Prince; sister, Martha Baker; and his favorite German Shepherd, JoJo.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Bill Nichols State Veterans Home, 1784 Elkahatchee Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
